a phone, a changed life

Out of sadness, i bought myself the G1. I am not any happier, but i feel like im better than people who have iphones.

Making it and faking it.

My grandmother died today. She was my last surviving grandparent. In mourning, i got bangs.

The more you want the less you have

I am the best at coming up with ideas, and the worst at following through. I am great at shooting myself down, and convincing myself I can never do anything.
How will I ever get out of this circle?

Directions for getting back what you lost

How I lost my desire and passion for writing, i dont know. It used to be the only thing that mattered to me, and now its at the bottom of the list in the bottom of a pile of things i might want to do. But after having a sunrise breakfast with a personal legend, i was reminded why I love to do this. So hopefully feeling forced to write something every single day for a month will light my spark again. I need this now, more than ever.

We are so advanced

There was a commercial for Levi jeans in which a man is in his apartment and begins to pull up his jeans, and a downtown city scape bursts into his apartment. He realizes there is a sexy girl in a phone booth, and yanks the pants up, transforming his apartment into downtown. He walks off hand in hand, or maybe hand in pocket, with sexy phone booth girl.
A couple months later, this same commercial is on again, only now there is a sexy man in the phone booth. The jean guy is still a guy. This commercial has suddenly taken a turn for the gay. I had no idea our society had advanced so much. Last time I checked it was still controversial for two women to kiss on network television. But now, here is a blatantly gay commercial for a very huge brand. I am impressed. America is making strides. But with most things in this country, it will most likely be one step forward, two steps back. In exchange for this commercial, women will probably lose the right to vote, and wear pants.
